Terms of Service

By using VAT Permit Malta you agree to these terms. The tool is operated by TicketLane (ticketlane.mt) and is free to use.

What the tool is — and isn't

VAT Permit Malta organises the event details you give it into a prep sheet matching the fields of MTCA's VAT Permit application form, and gives a general indication of whether an event needs a permit based on whether admission is charged. It is an independent tool: it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with the Malta Tax and Customs Authority, and using it is not a VAT Permit application. You (or your representative) always apply yourself, on MTCA's own form on servizz.gov.mt.

Not tax or legal advice

Nothing on this site is tax, legal, or financial advice. The permit indication is a general rule of thumb, not a determination of your tax position — edge cases exist, and only a qualified advisor can confirm what applies to you. Where the site introduces you to partner accountants, any advice they give is theirs, under their own engagement with you.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, for reviewing your prep sheet before using it, and for your own application to MTCA — including its truthfulness and any declarations it contains. Don't use the tool to submit other people's personal data without their permission, or to abuse, probe, or disrupt the service.

No warranty, limited liability

The service is provided free, "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TicketLane is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the tool — including a rejected or delayed application, a missed obligation, or reliance on the permit indication. Requirements set by MTCA can change; always check the current official guidance.

Third-party links and offers

The site links to external services — servizz.gov.mt, mtca.gov.mt, and TicketLane. Those services have their own terms. Promotional offers (such as the €20 ad credit) are subject to their own terms.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time; the "last updated" date above changes when we do. These terms are governed by the laws of Malta, and any disputes belong to the courts of Malta.
