Privacy Policy
VAT Permit Malta is a free tool operated by TicketLane (ticketlane.mt). This policy explains what we collect when you use it, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
When you fill in the form we store what you enter: your name and email address, the organiser or brand name, your VAT number, and your event's details — dates, times, venues and addresses, ticket types, prices and quantities, your ticketing platform and any ticket printer. We also record the time you accepted the acknowledgement, whether you opted into marketing, and the IP address the submission came from (used for rate limiting and abuse prevention, including a country lookup against a geolocation service).
How we use it
Your details are used to build your prep sheet, show it on your private results page, and email you a copy. Our team receives a notification of each submission so we can operate and improve the service. Nothing is ever sent to MTCA — applying is always your own act, on MTCA's own form.
When we share it
We never sell your data. It is shared in exactly two cases: with our partner accountants, only if you explicitly request a consultation (you are CC'd on that introduction, and our team is copied); and with the service providers we run on — hosting and email delivery. If you tick the optional marketing box, TicketLane may send you occasional emails about selling tickets in Malta; you can unsubscribe at any time.
Cookies and third-party services
The site uses a session cookie needed for the form to work (CSRF protection). Where enabled, we use Google reCAPTCHA to keep bots out and Google Analytics / Tag Manager to understand aggregate usage — these set their own cookies under Google's policies. Fonts load from Google Fonts.
Retention and your rights
We keep submissions for as long as needed to operate the service, and delete them on request. Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, delete it, or restrict how it is used, and you can withdraw marketing consent at any time. Email kurt@ticketlane.mt and we'll act on it. You also have the right to complain to the Information and Data Protection Commissioner (idpc.org.mt).
Results-page links
Your prep sheet lives at a private link containing a long random identifier. It is not listed anywhere and search engines are told to ignore it, but anyone you forward the link to can see the details on it — share it as you would the details themselves.
